Terms of use
The short version: hebomb is a training log that suggests workouts and weights. It is not medical advice, you decide what you lift, and Pro is a subscription billed by Apple that you can cancel at any time.
Agreeing to these terms
By using hebomb you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. hebomb is also covered by Apple's standard licence agreement for apps. Where the two differ, these terms apply as far as the law and Apple's rules allow.
You may use hebomb on Apple devices you own or control, for your own training. You need to be 13 or older, and if you are under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
Your health and safety
Lifting weights and other exercise carry a real risk of injury. Please read this part carefully.
- hebomb is not medical advice. It is not a doctor, a physiotherapist or a qualified coach, and it is not a medical device.
- It does not know your body. The workouts, weights and other numbers it suggests are estimates worked out from what you have logged. hebomb knows nothing about your injuries, your health, your technique or how you feel today, and its numbers can be wrong.
- You decide what you lift. Every suggestion can be changed, and it is your choice whether to follow it. Start lighter than you think you need to, use safe equipment and a spotter where one is called for, and stop if something hurts or you feel unwell.
- Check with a doctor first. Do this before starting or changing how you train, and especially if you have a heart condition, an injury, are pregnant, or have any other health concern.
- Heart rate, zones and calories are estimates. They come from Apple Health and your watch, and should not be used to make medical decisions.
You use hebomb and train at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, you accept responsibility for any injury or loss that comes from your training.
hebomb Pro
- Launch members: if your first download of hebomb from the App Store is during the launch, Pro is free for as long as you use the app, with nothing to pay and nothing to renew. It is tied to your Apple Account. If hebomb is ever withdrawn, as described below, it ends with the app.
- If the launch ever ends, the date will be posted here first, and launch members keep Pro for life. People who download after it may be offered Pro as a subscription by the year or by the month, with the price shown in the app before they buy.
- If you subscribe, Apple takes the payment through your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time in your App Store settings. Cancel at least a day before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Pro then stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices and what Pro includes may change. A price change will not apply to a period you have already paid for, and Apple will tell you before a renewal at a higher price.
Your data is yours, and in your care
What you log is stored on your phone, as the privacy page explains. We hold no copy, so we cannot recover it if your phone is lost, the app is deleted or something goes wrong. Settings has a backup you can save wherever you like, and we recommend using it.
Changes to the app
hebomb may be updated, changed or withdrawn from the App Store at any time. If hebomb stops being offered, the app already on your phone and everything you have logged in it stay with you, subscriptions will not be renewed, and you can ask Apple for a refund of any period you have paid for and not used.
No guarantees
hebomb is provided as it is. We work to make it accurate and reliable, but to the fullest extent the law allows we make no promise that it will be free of errors, always available, or right for any particular purpose, and we make no promise about the results of your training.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, hebomb and its maker are not liable for any injury, loss of data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for hebomb in the twelve months before the claim, or 50 US dollars, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights the law says cannot be taken away.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Carrying on using hebomb after that means you accept the new version.
